The Rural Digital Opportunity Fund will provide $20.4 Billion to bring high speed, fixed broadband service to unserved rural homes and small businesses. The monies will be distributed in two phases via a reverse auction similar to that used for the CAF II program. The Phase I auction is scheduled for October 22, 2020 and will target over 6million homes and businesses that are currently unserved by broadband at speeds of at least 25 Mbps.
This special 2 hour webinar will include a description of the fund and the auction plans from the FCC as well as a discussion among state commissioners and rural carriers.
