Staff Subcommittee of Public Information Officers
The Staff Subcommittee of Public Information Officers recognizes that effective communication with the public is essential to transparency, trust, and the proper functioning of state agencies. PIOs play a vital role in managing public outreach, media relations, crisis communication, and dissemination of accurate and timely information. The Subcommittee will focus its efforts on coordinated communication strategies and media protocols, share best practices, and develop resources for public messaging, digital communication, and media engagement and support nationwide communication initiatives and campaigns. This will help ensure consistency, improve communication strategies, and address cross-cutting issues.|
