NARUC will be conducting its bi-annual cybersecurity training event in Indianapolis, IN on March 22-24, 2023. The training content will focus on cybersecurity topics through the lens of a public utility regulator. Subject matter experts, recruited from around the country, will make presentations, lead engaging activities, and offer topical and timely “boots on the ground” perspectives.

Participation is open to commissioners and staff who are interested in building expertise in cybersecurity. Prior cybersecurity knowledge is not a pre-requisite. The learning outcomes are multi-fold:

• Gain knowledge of IT and OT technologies, as well as the tactics that utilities use to identify and deter cyber attacks;
• Understand the spectrum of state and federal approaches to cybersecurity;
• Identify cybersecurity cost recovery challenges and innovative solutions under consideration by Commissions today.
