This course introduces the utility and regulatory considerations of rising data center electricity demand. Participants will learn about data centers and their energy usage; new load growth drivers and uncertainties; and the evolving and varied toolbox of approaches to accommodate growth through energy policy, utility regulation, and power system planning and operations. The course also explores how stakeholders are pursuing economic growth and speed-to-power alongside affordability, reliability, clean energy, and other objectives.

Cancellation and Other Policies:

Cancellations:
A 20% processing fee applies to all cancellations. If you are unable to attend or secure a substitute from the same organization for a live online course, a cancellation request must be submitted no later than 7 business days prior to the first day of the course. To request a cancellation, please send an email to npdsupport@naruc.org. Approved cancellations will receive a refund minus the 20% processing fee.

Substitutions:
A $50 processing fee applies to all substitutions. If you cannot attend a live online course that you have registered for, you may substitute an individual from the same organization. The substitution request must be made no later than 7 business days prior to the first day of the course. The substitute must have a My NARUC profile in the system.
